ACTION TEAM TO HELP DENVER AREA MIGRANTS

 Our first meeting  of the Action Team to Help Denver Area Migrants is on Thursday, March 13 at 10 am on Zoom. The Zoom link will be provided.

Developing out of our Lunch & Learn with Denise Chang of the Colorado Hosting Asylum Network (CHAN), the goal of the Action Team is to provide help where needed to the asylum-seekers and refugees in our community. At this meeting, we will pick a Team Leader and discuss the agenda for the Action Team. With the guidance of Denise, we have received a list of food and supplies that the asylum-seekers under CHAN’s auspices would like, including food from their homelands that they are unable to purchase due to the distance of groceries that carry such foods and inability to travel to them. We  also will discuss advocacy opportunities such as the one that will be presented at the meeting.
