Join us for this incredible annual program, with a new and improved schedule! Sit on the House and Senate floor and observe how our legislative process works. Have breakfast with and meet one on one with lawmakers to advocate directly for bills and issues. Be a critical part of influencing and making laws that have direct impact for women children and families. This is an event you will not want to miss!

No Charge for the event (lunch will be self-purchased); snack and breakfast are provided.

Schedule
7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.  Arrival and Set-up in the Rotunda
8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.  Breakfast with the legislators in the Rotunda
9:00 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. Breakfast breakdown; Bathroom break; Walk to House Chamber
9:15 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.  House Chamber (Declaration in honor of NCJW 130th year)
10:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Walk to conference room
10:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.  Brief recap from breakfast and planning for upcoming lobbying
10:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  Walk to State Services Building or other locales of legislators
11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.   Lobbying in teams of 4 w/ key legislators
1:30 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.  Potentially attend House or Senate Committee meetings of interest
1:45 onward Walk to and enjoy group lunch and debrief at restaurant (TBD)

Carpools are available; wear comfortable shoes & bring a water bottle.
