Workshop on How to Effectively Advocate

State Representative Dafna Michelson Jenet and former State Senator Joyce Foster will share insights into what we can do to effectively advocate during the upcoming state legislative session.  We will practice tips on how to conduct an effective lobby visit at the capitol, virtually, by phone and by email/mail.  We will discuss when to advantageously use which type of communication/meeting.  We will also discuss forming coalitions, how to work within a coalition how to effectively divide and conquer and when to do what.  Finally, we will learn how to testify on critical issues and develop key short advocacy pitches.
